Youth Town Hall is a non-partisan civic engagement project for people ages 18 to 35. Campaigns can't see your email or change your words.

Our commitments

These commitments apply to every Youth Town Hall.

1. We do not rewrite participant questions. A campaign can choose which questions to answer in their town hall, but a participant question appears as submitted or not at all. Questions supplied by a campaign appear in a separate, clearly labeled section.

2. We limit participant data and keep contact information from campaigns. We do not ask for a street address, full last name, or date of birth. We do not keep the ZIP code used for the district check. Youth Town Hall does not store a phone number used for optional text-message verification. Campaign tools and exports do not include email addresses, phone numbers, ZIP codes, IP addresses, or other contact details. The district check does not verify identity, residence, age, voter registration, or eligibility to vote.

3. Participants control how they are named. A participant can submit anonymously or permanently remove their name later. They can also request full removal of a question. Deleting participant information makes linked questions anonymous; it does not by itself remove the question text.

4. We do not sell participant data or use it for targeted advertising. We do not use data brokers, social-media pixels, or outside tracking tools. We share limited data only with service providers that help us operate the service or when law requires it.

5. Campaigns curate; End Point enforces the rules. The campaign decides which eligible questions the candidate answers. End Point handles content reports and removal decisions, should they occur.

6. Candidates get equal terms, and the public gets basic totals. Every candidate in a race receives the same published price and terms. Race pages give candidate Halls equal prominence.

The Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Content Policy explain the details. If you have a question or want to report content, email support@youthtownhall.org.
